Liberty University President Jerry Falwell, Jr., the son of the late great Southern Baptist firebrand Rev. Jerry Falwell, declared in an exclusive Newsmax interview on Wednesday that “the Christian world has lost the best communicator that it’s had over the last hundred years” with the death of Rev. Billy Graham.
In the wide-ranging, exclusive interview Falwell reveals that his father considered Graham to be a mentor who shaped a lot of his initial ideas for a religious-broadcasting ministry. Falwell calls Graham “the best orator” who used his gifts “to reach millions, if not billions, of people.”
