The United States is being "held hostage" to China's "terrible decisions" concerning coronavirus and must take steps to protect itself, including moving manufacturing back home, Asia expert Gordon Chang told Newsmax TV on Thursday.
"You know, when you have China's atrocious response, [this] can crash U.S. equities and could do great damage to the American economy," Chang told "Newsmax Now" host John Bachman. "We absolutely have to cut our links to China. This is not a question of something that we might want to do. This is a question of necessity."
