The coronavirus pandemic caught federal, state, and local governments flat-footed and will force them to be better prepared for future crises, former Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin told Newsmax TV on Monday.
"I think it really says that we're going to rethink the way that we prepare for these types of emergencies, and frankly beyond just health," Shulkin told "The Chris Salcedo Show." "It could be cyber attacks. This could be attacks on our utility systems. This is the role of government getting better at predicting when these events are going to happen, how we prepare how we respond."
