Pundits and pols alike are increasingly referring to the race to succeed Florida GOP Gov. Rick Scott as "the main attraction" of 2018.

Florida boasts 20.6 million residents, and ranked second only to Texas as the state with the largest gain in population last year. Boasting 29 electoral votes, the Sunshine State packs one of the most powerful political wallops in the nation. Indeed, it could easily determine whether President Trump wins a return trip to the White House in 2020.
