U.S. health authorities, moving past a series of embarrassing delays and snafus, are ramping up the production and distribution of test kits designed to detect the novel coronavirus.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, stated Sunday on Meet the Press that health officials “really are accelerating dramatically” the production of test kits, which play a key role in trying to limit the spread of the disease.
