The poor leadership during the violent protests from the mayors in Democratic cities around the city have pushed many residents into the suburbs, former Trump economic adviser Stephen Moore told Newsmax TV.
"I think it's going to take years for these cities to recover if they ever recover to what they once were. And it was the double whammy of COVID virus that hits people in crowded conditions ... my God. The absolute disastrous leadership of cities like New York, and Portland, and Seattle, and Chicago and I could go on and on," Moore told Wednesday's "Greg Kelly Reports." "These Democratic mayors are just driving their cities into the ground. And frankly, the people who are the most hurt by that are the inner-city minorities, the immigrants, the Hispanics, the Blacks who own property there and are going to see big declines."
