Senior adviser to President Donald Trump's 2020 re-election campaign Katrina Pierson told Newsmax TV on Thursday that the presidential debate schedule needed to add an earlier contest to give the country a chance to compare Trump with presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden head-to-head before early voting begins.
“These debates were determined in October 2019. That was pre-pandemic,” Pierson said on “Spicer & Co.” “The American public has been denied a traditional campaign. They have not been able to go out and hear these candidates, in raw form without that (news media) filter, so it just makes sense. America deserves to have both candidates in front of them before early voting starts.”
