An Orlando-area mansion abandoned by the brother of 9/11 mastermind Osama bin Laden just a few days after the deadliest terror attack in U.S. history is stuck in limbo after local officials rejected a proposal to build an apartment complex on the property.
The sprawling 18-acre property in west Orange County features a 5,854-square foot Mediterranean-style mansion built in the Roaring Twenties. It was once owned by Khalil bin Laden, the brother of the man who orchestrated the attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives.
