The private club owned by President-elect Donald Trump sold more than 800 tickets for hundreds of dollars each for its annual New Year's Eve party, which will feature Trump and his family.
Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Fla. charged $525 for members and $575 for non-members for tickets to Saturday's event, reports Politico. The party will include drinks in the living room and patio of the massive resort, followed by dinner and dancing until 1 a.m.
According to the Palm Beach Post, the band Party on the Moon has played at the event the last five years and will do so again this weekend.
Sean Spicer, who will serve as the White House communications director and press secretary in Trump's administration, told reporters Friday the event is sold out.
Actor Sylvester Stallone is among the celebrities slated to attend.
Hope Hicks, Trump's pick to work as White House strategic director of communications, said there is no conflict of interest present amid criticism that his business is essentially selling access to the incoming first family.
"The transition is not concerned about the appearance of a conflict," Hicks said, reports Politico. "This is an annual celebratory event at the private club, like others that have continued to occur since the election. Additionally, the president cannot and does not have a conflict."
