President Donald Trump has lobbed an angry blast at Jeff Sessions, accusing the attorney general of dragging his feet in launching an investigation into "potentially massive FISA abuse."

On Tuesday, Sessions announced that the Justice Department will investigate potential abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

The probe comes after Trump last year accused the Obama administration officials of misusing FISA regulations to illegally spy on his presidential transition team.

Trump's new Twitter missive indicates that the commander in chief wants much faster action on the matter.

It's one of series of criticisms Trump has fired at Sessions over the past year. Trump has previously said he would not have appointed Sessions as attorney general if he had known he would recuse himself from the Russia investigation.
