Trump Thanks CNN's Jim Acosta for 'Honesty'

In a rare break, President Donald Trump gave a backhanded tip of the cap to CNN's Jim Acosta, thanking the White House reporter for his "honesty" in reporting on the reopening of the government.

Trump citied Acosta's tweet from Monday:

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's decision to accept the guarantee of a debate — not the permanent protections Democrats sought when they forced the shutdown late Friday — on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients was panned by progressives in his own party who felt that he caved.
