The House is slated to vote on a resolution to impeach President Donald Trump Wednesday.
NBC News reported that it's unclear whether the vote will lead to moving the resolution to a committee or moving it forward on the House floor.
Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, is leading the effort to impeach Trump. NBC reported that he forced the Wednesday vote on the measure by reading it on the House floor Tuesday night.
Some Democrats, including Green, have reiterated their calls for impeachment in the wake of tweets Trump posted last weekend that some are calling racist.
"President Donald Trump's racist comments that have legitimatized and increased fear and hatred of new Americans and people of color," Green said Tuesday, according to NBC. "Donald John Trump, by causing such harm to the society of the United States, is unfit to be president and warrants impeachment, trial and removal from office."
