Author T.C. Boyle: 'Monster Clown' Trump Will Return to Reality TV

Award-winning novelist T. Coraghessan Boyle says Donald Trump is a "monster clown" not destined to become president of the United States.

"This monster clown in the orange makeup has somehow embarrassed and humiliated America," Boyle, author of "World's End," "The Harder They Come" and "Tortilla Curtain" told The Guardian.

"He will soon disappear back into reality TV where he belongs."

Boyle said he believes the billionaire real estate tycoon is a sign of a troubled Republican Party, which he says includes the last GOP president, George W. Bush.

"Let's not forget the great President Bush who actually paid scientists to give us false science on climate change. We could have been 10 years ahead of the loop," Boyle said.

"The worst American president by far. He destroyed the world, he gave us the recession, he put us a trillion dollars in debt, he created ISIS."

Boyle, winner of the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, is out with a new book, "The Terranauts," published by Ecco.
