Taking care of veterans is the government's responsibility, but more private care should be accessible, Rep. Scott Taylor, R-Va., said Friday.

"There should be more private care available to veterans, however, it is the duty of the government to take care and have responsibility for our veterans," Taylor told CNN's "New Day."

Taylor, a member of the House Appropriations Committee, said David Shulkin did a good job, and he believes that President Donald Trump's nominee, Adm. Ronny Jackson, is also likely to do well in the position.
