Republican lawmakers and conservative commentators this week were casting doubt on the integrity and independence of the FBI as special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation presses ahead.
The skepticism about the integrity of the bureau and Mueller has been voiced by lawmakers including Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., who is questioning whether the FBI is being used "in a political way," to Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C. who declares "of course" the FBI's integrity is at stake, to Rep. Steve Chabot, R-Ohio, who decries that more than half of the Mueller investigators have been Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama donors.
The Washington Post compiled a video of the growing criticism.
