President Donald Trump leads Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden by a close margin in South Carolina, according to an internal poll for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

The survey, which was conducted by the progressive research firm GBAO Strategies on behalf of the DSCC, found that although Democrat Senate candidate Jaime Harrison holds a slight lead over Republican incumbent Sen. Lindsey Graham, the Democrat presidential candidate isn’t faring as well in the Palmetto State.

  • 48% support Harrison.
  • 47% back Graham.
  • 44% support Biden.
  • 49% back Trump.

This poll was obtained by National Journal Hotline’s Madelaine Pisani, who shared some of the details on Twitter on Thursday.

GBAO surveyed 800 likely voters from September 24-28, 2020, with a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percentage points.
