President Donald Trump is expressing interest in inviting Republican state legislators from Pennsylvania to the White House in advance of the state's Monday election certification.
CNN is attributing the information to two sources. The news network said that while discussions are underway, it is not clear if invitations have been extended yet.
Trump has already summoned Michigan's Republican legislative leaders to the White House for a Friday meeting.
Trump's campaign has floated the idea of trying to get friendly state legislatures to appoint electors. If he is successful in convincing Michigan's Board of State Canvassers not to certify Joe Biden's victory in the state, state lawmakers could be called on to select electors.
