Marc Scaringi, who is now representing President Donald Trump's campaign in its Pennsylvania lawsuit, claimed that litigation "will not reverse this election" soon after most media outlets called the presidential race for Democrat Joe Biden on Nov. 7, The Washington Post reports.

"At the end of the day, in my view, the litigation will not work. It will not reverse this election," said Scaringi, a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, lawyer, on iHeartRadio. "In my opinion, there really are no bombshells that are about to drop that will derail a Biden presidency, including these lawsuits."

On Monday, three attorneys representing the Trump campaign withdrew from the lawsuit challenging Pennsylvania election results, filing a motion that said Scaringi would now take their place, according to The Hill. This comes after the law firm Porter Wright Morris & Arthur withdrew from their case last week.

Scaringi, the Post reports, said some of the legal challenges, like the one about late-arriving ballots brought by the state Republican Party, "had merit." Others were unlikely to hand Trump four more years in office, he said.

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign hit back at the Post for its coverage of the revised lawsuit in Pennsylvania on Monday, accusing the newspaper of "erroneously claiming the campaign had dropped its legal claim of nearly 700,000 ballots processed illegally and in secret."

The updated lawsuit filed Sunday claims Democrat voters in the state were treated more favorably than Republican ones and aims to block Pennsylvania from certifying a Biden victory.
