Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., are set to give addresses Friday about the delay in forwarding the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump over to the Senate.
Both men are scheduled to deliver speeches on the Senate floor, according to The Washington Post.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has declined to send the two articles of impeachment to the Senate until GOP leaders provide details on witnesses and testimony for Trump's trial.
Meanwhile, the speeches by McConnell and Schumer on Friday were scheduled on a day in which headlines were dominated by the U.S. airstrike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani.
