President Barack Obama is "jealous" of presumptive nominee Donald Trump's skill on Twitter and his ability to communicate with people, talk radio host
Rush Limbaugh said on his syndicated program on Thursday.
"He is livid that Trump is so creative on Twitter. He's jealous as hell of it, and he's angry that people respond positively to it," Limbaugh said.
Jealousy is one of the reasons Trump has such opposition, Limbaugh said.
"They would love to be Trump. They would love to experience what Trump has experienced. They would love to be the focal point and the recipient of all of this positive energy, massive crowds," Limbaugh said.
Obama attacked Trump, though not by name, during a speech in Elkhart, Indiana, on Wednesday, saying, "If we turn against each other based on divisions of race or religion, if we ... if we fall for, you know, a bunch of okie-doke just because, you know, it — you know, it sounds funny or the tweets are provocative, then we're not gonna build on the progress that we started."
Obama stumbled over his words during the quote, prompting Limbaugh to say, "When the subject of Trump comes up, he can't talk."
