Joe Scarborough had a stern message to Republicans on
MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program Tuesday, preaching a message of "calling out" Trump and "retracting endorsements" of him immediately or risk losing everything — the White House, the Senate, the House.
Scarborough and his panel were debating Trump's incessant attacks on Judge Gonzalo Curiel, born in Indiana, as a man who cannot impartially rule on Trump University because he's a Mexican who could be harboring ill will toward Trump.
"Republicans in Washington, D.C.," Scarborough started, "you're letting your presumptive nominee, who's making racist statements, run roughshod over what remaining national reputation we have as a national party.
"You have to start calling him out and saying you're going to retract your endorsement of him, today," Scarborough said.
With 24 GOP Senate seats that have to be defended, many of them in key presidential battleground states, Scarborough warned that inaction will derail Sens. Kelly Ayotte in New Hampshire, Rob Portman in Ohio, and Ron Johnson in Wisconsin, to name a few whose seats "are in danger."
"Republicans — call him out, back away from those endorsements," Scarborough said. "Make him back down on the Muslim ban, make him back down on this racist comment that he's made about (Curiel) … or else you will lose the Senate, you will lose the House, you will lose the presidency, you will lose governorships. You will lose your standing as a national party."
