Former Vice President Joe Biden threw his support behind three Democrats in competitive House races on Thursday, The Hill reports.
The endorsements are part of Biden's push to aid the party in trying to take back the House, the website noted.
According to the Hill, Biden has endorsed Air Force veteran Chrissy Houlahan, who is trying for the seat held by Rep. Ryan Costello, R-Pa.; former Obama administration official Andy Kim, who is challenging Rep. Tom MacArthur., R-N.J., and philanthropist Susie Lee, who is vying for Rep. Jacky Rosen's, D-Nev., open seat.
Biden recently campaigned for Democrat Conor Lamb in the special election for the House seat from Pennsylvania. Lamb has declared victory in the close race.
The Hill noted campaigning for candidates give Biden the opportunity to check his support in case he decides to run for president in 2020.
While Biden wants to be president, he does acknowledge his age — he will be 78 two weeks after the 2020 election.
