Rep. Jody Hice, R-Ga., says the timing of an impeachment vote in the House appears "up in the air" as Democrats don't appear to be wrapping up their investigation of President Donald Trump any time soon.
Hice's comments came in a Thursday interview on Hill.TV.
"It's kind of up in the air right now," Hice said. "Initially, we were hearing through the grapevine that there might be a vote before Thanksgiving. Now I don't think that's going to happen."
"This is turning south in a lot of ways for the Democrats."
And he noted the Democrats have yet to specify a timetable for any impeachment vote. However, they have signaled they could vote by December, The Hill reported.
Meanwhile, Hice criticized the ongoing testimony at the House Intelligence Committee hearings.
"What is being brought forth is only information that is based on hearsay," Hice said. "These witnesses have actually witnessed nothing."
