President Donald Trump will be the headline speaker at the National Republican Congressional Committee's March fundraiser, according to CNN.
"We are thrilled that President Trump will speak at this year's dinner," Rep. Steve Womack, R-Ark., the fundraiser's chairman, said. "House Republicans are united and share his goal of making America great again."
The March 21 event is a major fundraising event for Congressional Republicans. Last year's dinner, hosted by former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, raised $20.6 million, according to CNN.
Republicans now hold 240 seats in the House of Representatives to the Democrats' 193, a comfortable lead above the 218-seat majority that provides House control. The GOP lost just six seats in the 2016 election, fewer than most predictions.
House Speaker Paul Ryan transferred more than $3.4 million to the NRCC in January. His team said that amount showed how popular he is after more than a year as the top Republican in the House of Representatives, according to the Washington Examiner.
