Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck called on Americans to join him and his family in fasting, as the Indiana presidential primary approaches.
Beck, a supporter of Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, asked people to fast and seek "healing for our land," according to a
Breitbart report.
Beck asked in a
Facebook post for voters to call on God, "to beg the Lord to not remove His hand from us," and to "ask that He will heal our land."
Beck has been appearing with the Texas senator at campaign stops in Indiana ahead of the May 3 primary there. According to the
Daily Caller, Beck said his campaigning with Cruz had nothing to do with layoffs at his company, TheBlaze.
TheBlaze recently laid off around 40 employees, according to a
Daily Beast report, as part of conditions to satisfy a bank loan.
Joe Scarborough, the host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," said Beck should stick to managing his business instead of campaigning for Ted Cruz, according to
Breitbart.
"A lot of people said he was so obsessed with campaigning for Ted Cruz that he kept missing shows and took his eye off the ball," Scarborough said.
