Fifty-three percent of Florida voters favor Joe Biden, compared to 47% who back President Donald Trump, a new Florida Atlantic University/BEPI poll reveals.
The survey marks a turnaround from a March poll when Trump led Biden 51% to 49%.
Here are how the Florida results, released Friday, break down:
- 53% of all voters believe Trump will win the election.
- 78% of those supporting Trump are excited about their candidate.
- 64% of Biden backers say they are excited about their candidate.
- 43% approve of the way Trump is handling his job, compared to 46% who disapprove.
- 51% approve of the way Gov. Ron DeSantis is handling his job, while 32% disapprove.
The survey, which polled 928 Floridians, was conducted May 8-12. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
