The White House confirmed to Newsmax Wednesday that French President Emmanuel Macron will be a guest at President Trump's first-ever state dinner.

Press secretary Sarah Sanders informed Newsmax when asked whether the French president would be among the dignitaries present.

I asked Sanders if the French president's state visit will be in April, and she replied that a date "has not yet been set."

Last year, President Macron hosted the President Trump and first lady Melania Trump at the Bastille Day celebration in Paris.
