A survey of Pennsylvania voters shows that Donald Trump is out front among the Republican presidential candidates, and Democrats Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are in a closer race,
according to Public Policy Polling survey results.
For the Republicans:
- Donald Trump, 51 percent support of those surveyed.
- Ted Cruz, 25 percent support of those surveyed.
- John Kasich, 22 percent support of those surveyed.
Pennsylvania's poll results were the lowest for Trump among the three states polled —Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. However, his 51 percent still outstrips the numbers of his opponents. Pennsylvania is the only one of the three states in which Cruz got more support than Kasich.
In the Democrat race:
- Hillary Clinton, 51 percent support of those surveyed.
- Bernie Sanders, 41 percent support of those surveyed.
The Pennsylvania poll results show Clinton with her largest lead over Sanders in the three states polled, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.
Presidential primaries for both parties will be held in Pennsylvania April 26.
