Democratic presidential candidates agreed on their disdain for President Donald Trump's trade war.
At a debate on Thursday night, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., dismissed the president's policy by snarking: "Trump thinks trade is a tweet at 3 in the morning."
Former Housing Secretary Julian Castro decired the trade war as "hurting American families," insisting "I would immediately begin to negotiate with China to ratchet down the trade war . . . we have leverage in that discussion."
Biden added, "we're either gonna make the policy or China is gonna make up the rules."
"You need to organize the world to stop the corruption," he said.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., also directed her criticism at Trump, saying he "has assessed these tariffs on our allies, he's put us in the middle of the trade war and treating our farmers and workers like poker chips in one of his bankrupt casinos."
