Washington Times Columnist Hurt: 'Incivility' High in Administration

By    |   Wednesday, 09 October 2013 07:11 PM EDT

The Obama administration has achieved a new level of "incivility" in criticizing Republican lawmakers for lack of movement on the federal budget crisis, says Charles Hurt, a columnist for the Washington Times.

Story continues below video.

"Most Americans are too civilized and too decent and honest to actually engage in this kind of nonsense, because when somebody says something that black and white, you assume that they're not just making it up," Hurt told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"But we have reached a whole new level of . . . incivility . . . that I don't feel like I've ever seen before. We had the sitting president . . . saying that the people who opposed his political position were arsonists, kidnappers, we've heard language about terrorists, people holding guns to people's heads, all because they held a different political position."
