Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro revealed Tuesday he supports President Donald Trump's reelection bid and hopes to able to attend his inauguration in January.
Politico reported Bolsonaro said through a translator, "God willing I will be able to attend" the inauguration. He added he will not "interfere" in the U.S. election but his endorsement "is from the heart."
Bolsonaro's remarks came at a signing ceremony in Brasilia, Brazil, at which the U.S. and Brazil signed a new trade agreement. Trump's National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien was in attendance.
Bolsonaro took office in January 2019 and has met with the Trump multiple times, including at the White House and at Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.
Other world leaders who have endorsed Trump's reelection bid include Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
