Florida Lt. Gov. Lopez-Cantera Endorses GOP's Adam Putnam for Governor

Florida Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera endorsed Republican Adam Putnam’s bid to become the state’s next governor, the Orlando Sentinel is reporting.

"Without a doubt, there is no candidate seeking the office that is more qualified to be the next governor of Florida than Adam Putnam," Lopez-Cantera said on Monday.

A recent Mason-Dixon Polling and Research survey showed Rep. Ron DeSantis with 41-29 percent lead over Putnam in advance of the Aug. 28 GOP primary. President Donald Trump has thrown his support behind DeSantis.
