Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., on Wednesday criticized the "latest absurd freak out" coming from Democrats over the Trump administration's plan to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census.

Democratic leaders Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., both blasted the Commerce Department's announcement Monday that it is instructing the question be added to the next census.

Further, some states have already announced their plan to challenge the administration's decision.
