Star NBA player LeBron James isn’t afraid to voice his negative opinions on President Donald Trump, but when it came to speaking out about the human rights violations of China, the athlete, who makes millions of dollars from the communist regime, had nothing negative to say.
James has spoken out on police shootings, voting rights, and even called the president a “bum.” But when an NBA executive tweeted in support of Hong Kong freedom demonstrators, James was quick to express a negative opinion about the comment, especially as China began pulling revenue from the league (and its players). James has been silent when it comes to speaking out to condemn the treatment of Hong Kong residents, Uighur Muslims, or China’s authoritative leaders.
