Now that Democrats control the Senate, liberals will begin mounting a pressure campaign to force Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, 82, to retire so Joe Biden can replace him with a younger, progressive pick.
Democrats were unable to appoint a liberal justice to the bench after Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died under President Donald Trump’s watch. He also appointed Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, creating a conservative 6-3 majority.
