Rep. Russell Fry, R-S.C., told Newsmax on Tuesday that the difference between Republicans and Democrats on law and order "could not be more stark."
Fry made the comments in an interview on "National Report," saying that President Joe Biden, "the most progressive president we've ever seen," is handing the baton over to Democratic presumptive nominee Kamala Harris, who would take progressivism to new heights — and crime along with it.
"The differences could not be more stark," Fry said. "Republicans support law and order. They support the men and women in uniform. We don't want to defund the police. We don't want to eliminate Border Patrol and ICE; these are the statements of now presumptive nominee Kamala Harris, who is, you know — Joe Biden was incredibly progressive; probably the most progressive president we've ever seen. Kamala Harris would make that look like a cakewalk."
Fry compared that to a main theme of the Republican National Convention two weeks ago that focused on making America safe again.
"The differences could not be more stark when you talk about protecting our streets, making sure that we secure our border, making sure that we focus on core functions of government. Law enforcement is right in the middle of that," Fry said. "That is something that government should do.
"But with the Kamala Harris-Joe Biden agenda, we have seen everything the opposite of what that is."
