Shutting down the government to stop executive amnesty for illegal immigrants would do lethal political damage to Republicans, even considering President Barack Obama's "duplicitous, dishonest and disingenuous" handling of immigration, syndicated columnist and author Ruben Navarrette Jr. told "MidPoint" host Ed Berliner on Newsmax TV Friday.
