Ian Tuttle to GOP: Use Iran Nuke Talks in 2016 Campaign

Republicans should use the Obama administration's ill-advised attempts to hammer out a nuclear arms deal with Iran as a major issue in the 2016 presidential race, says Ian Tuttle, a William F. Buckley Fellow at National Review.

"It's an extremely important issue. Republicans are very good on this, they're very consistent, so it'll help them politically," Tuttle said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"But it's just enormously important that Republicans stand firm on this, stand united, because the prospect of an Iranian nuclear weapon is devastating."

The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that the negotiations face a major roadblock if a potential power struggle rips apart the Islamic Republic's leadership.
