The sudden resignation of Attorney General Eric Holder is a sign that President Barack Obama has lost faith in Democrats retaining the Senate, says Noah Rothman, associate editor of the conservative news blog HotAir.com.
"It is the first and most clear indication the White House believes it's really very likely, if not imminent, that their party will lose control of the Senate in the midterms," Rothman told Joe Concha, guest host of "The Steve Malzberg Show," Friday on

"If the Republicans did maintain control of it, took over the upper chamber, it will be unlikely that Holder would be able to resign at all."
Obama announced Holder's resignation at a news conference on Thursday. He is expected to remain in the position until a successor is picked.
