Former Ronald Reagan presidential campaign manager Ed Rollins appeared on Newsmax's National Report, saying DirecTV's censoring of the conservative news outlet is "an outrageous decision, and there's no justification for it."
"There's plenty of cable space in reality here … [Newsmax] provides a very important voice to a lot of people, and I think to a certain extent that the Congress has to look at this and make sure that it's not like it's only five stations there," Rollins said. "There's lots of stations, lots of ability, but they're taking a very powerful vehicle away from conservatives."
He also commented on tonight's State of the Union address that President Joe Biden will be giving, saying, "He won't convert any new voters. He may reinforce some of his own base, but the reality is this is a president who obviously is not well-liked by the country."

He went on to set expectations based on historical reactions.
"At the end of the day here, these speeches are kind of a big ceremony," said Rollins. "They're not really persuasive, even though 37 million people watched it last time. Fewer watched the second one — the first out of curiosity. And my sense is he's given a lot of rhetoric. He promises lots of things.
"People out there still see crime on the streets. They still see record gas prices, egg prices, bread prices, and their mortgages and rents are higher.
"So, unless he comes in with something that's new, which I don't think he will, he's not going to do much."
