Donald Trump is a few states away from winning the presidential election, political analyst Dick Morris told Newsmax TV on Thursday.
Trump has made up a lot of ground in recent weeks, Morris told "America Talks Live" host Steve Malzberg, because of two things: Obamacare and Trump voters emerging from the shadows.
"I think [Obamacare is] emerging as the key, late-deciding issue as the system visibly falls apart in front of all of us, and we see the rate hikes that are coming," Morris said. "In some cases, more than 50 percent.
"Secondly, I think that the downscale Trump voter is coming home. That people who are for Trump who have not followed the process, who have not participated in polling, who have not said that they are likely voters are increasingly waking up and saying 'Hey, the election is coming. I think I'm going to vote for Trump.'"

Morris said if Trump can win all the states Mitt Romney won in the 2012 election, he will need an additional 64 electoral votes. He can get those by winning a handful of the swing states.
That is highly possible, given the way the polls have shaken out, Morris told Malzberg.
"That's really the true portrait of where this race is," Morris said of the close races in several states.
Many national polls show Democrat Hillary Clinton with a slight lead entering Election Day on Nov. 8.
Morris is the author of the bestselling book "Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary," written with Eileen McGann and published by Humanix Books.
