Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., told Newsmax TV on Friday that it’s too early to call the Copper State for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden despite his lead in Arizona.
Biggs told “The National Report” that the latest batch of votes counted helped President Donald Trump narrow Biden’s lead by about 5,000 votes, and that there are still roughly 220,000 or 225,000 votes left to count with Trump down about 42,000 as of Friday morning.
“We believe that the votes that are going to be counted now will favor him dramatically, and that’s gonna carry him across the finish line,” Biggs said.
He added that the final results for the state, barring a court intervening, will likely be released early Saturday morning.
