Pro-Palestinian protesters over the weekend vandalized a veterans' cemetery in Los Angeles, reported the The Jerusalem Post.
A demonstrator spray painted "Free Gaza" with an upside-down red triangle on the entrance to the Los Angeles National Cemetery. Others shouted "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free," a slogan the Anti-Defamation League has labeled antisemitic, and "Long live Palestine," "Long live intifada," and "Biden, Biden you're a liar; we demand a cease-fire."
"Intifada" was also spray-painted on the cemetery, according to photos and videos taken on site and posted to social media.
Terrence Hayes, a spokesman for the Department of Veterans Affairs, condemned the actions.
"VA national cemeteries are where our nation's heroes are laid to rest, and any act of vandalism is unacceptable," Hayes told Fox News.
"We are taking immediate steps to restore the wall at the Los Angeles National Cemetery to its original state."
Nearly 90,000 veterans who served the U.S. from World War I through Vietnam are buried in the Los Angeles National Cemetery.
