Conservative radio host Michael Savage has re-signed with Westwood One in a multiyear deal that will include livestreaming and paid content.
According to All Access, Savage's new contract for "The Savage Nation" includes subscription-based digital content that will be available starting in 2017.
"We're proud to extend our relationship with Dr. Savage," Westwood One's Suzanne Grimes said, reports All Access. "He is top-notch, Hall of Fame talent with a unique voice in American radio. He has some of the most engaged fans and is a proven, consistent ratings generator. We look forward to many more years together."
Savage, according to All Access, provided a glimpse into what his show will be like under his new contract.
"My deal with Westwood One caps my winning the National Radio Hall Of Fame nomination," Savage said. "My show is famous for my 'news, views, and reviews,' and we will take it to new levels come January 2017.
"We will be doing a three-dimensional show — on broadcast stations, as a livestream, and with special segments created only for subscribers."
The terms of the new contract were not disclosed.
"The Savage Nation" airs weekdays from 3-6 p.m. ET. Savage broadcasts the show from San Francisco.
The show first aired in 1994 and is now on 235 radio station affiliates, according to Radio Online.
It was announced last week that Savage's fellow conservation radio host Rush Limbaugh also had his contract renewed.
