Actress Debbie Reynolds was hospitalized Wednesday for a medical emergency, just one day after the death of daughter Carrie Fisher, TMZ and E! News reported.

Reynolds, 84, was in fair to serious condition, according to E! News.

TMZ reported the emergency as a possible stroke and said Reynolds' family called 911 just after 1 p.m. She was escorted from son Todd Fisher's home in Beverly Hills to a nearby emergency room.

Fisher, 60, died Tuesday morning after suffering a massive heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles. She was known for her iconic role as Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy.
