Police in New York City say an officer has been shot and rushed to a hospital.
Police didn't immediately release the officer's condition. He's been taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens.
A spokesman for the New York Fire Department says the shooting was reported at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at 104 Road and 212 Street in the Queens Village neighborhood.
The shooting comes less than six months after two NYPD officers were shot and killed in the wake of a grand jury's decision not to indict a police officer in the chokehold death of Eric Garner.
Police have not yet released further details in Saturday's shooting.
