Another Winter Storm Bears Down on New England

Saturday, 14 February 2015 09:19 AM EST

Yet another winter storm is heading toward New England, promising snow and heavy winds to a region already staggered by repeated blows from Mother Nature.

A blizzard warning is in effect for coastal areas from Connecticut to Maine starting Saturday afternoon. It will be the fourth major storm the region has seen in less than a month.

The National Weather Service says about a foot of snow could fall in Boston and two feet is possible in Down East Maine. Wind gusts of 60 mph or more and blowing snow promise to make travel dangerous, if not impossible, at times.

Officials also warned that power outages are possible because of the high winds.

Some areas have already gotten 6 feet or more of snow.
