President Donald Trump will spend Easter Weekend at Mar-a-Lago, the Palm Beach Daily News reports, marking his sixth trip to West Palm Beach since he was sworn in late January.

He spent last weekend there hosting Chinese President Xi Jinping and playing golf – the newspaper said he played at Trump International early Sunday as part of two foursomes. After golf, he ate a salad in the club room and told a guest of U.S. ambassador to Austria Patrick Park’s he would be coming back soon.

“Yes. I’ll be here for Easter,” he said.

The guest asked – Oh, so next week?

“Is Easter next week?” Trump said. “Well then, I guess I’ll be back next week.

Trump’s visits to Mar-a-Lago have been scrutinized because of the cost and the frequency of his visits – and because the president regularly hassled predecessor Barack Obama for his travel. Each visit to Mar-a-Lago, dubbed “the Winter White House,” costs taxpayers approximately $3 million.

Palm Beach County is considering levying a special tax against the resort for Trump’s visits to town if the federal government doesn’t reimburse its costs, as reports state it spends more than $60,000 a day, mostly on law enforcement, when the president visits.
