President Donald Trump ripped the "anarchists" who tore down a statue of Frederick Douglass over the weekend.
"This shows that these anarchists have no bounds!" Trump tweeted Monday morning.
Trump shared a Breitbart article that reported a statue of the abolitionist was removed from its base in a Rochester, N.Y. park.
Police reported the statue was moved 50 feet from its pedestal. It was missing a finger and was damaged.
Douglass was born into slavery and escaped to the North.
Nationwide protesters have been removing statues and monuments of historical figures who were involved in the Confederacy or owned slaves.
