A group representing gun owners involved in self-defense shooting incidents has offered to help George Zimmerman with his legal bills,
the Orlando Sentinel reported.
The National Association for Legal Gun Defense wants to donate $10,000 to help defray Zimmerman's legal expenses, a member, said attorney Blue Rannefeld of Fort Worth, Texas, told the Sentinel on Saturday.
Rannefeld said he is still trying to contact Zimmerman, 28, and his attorney, Craig Sonner of Altamonte Springs, to make the offer.
Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin, 17, to death on Feb. 26.
